What is your take on writing notes in your Bible? Some say it is offensive and wrong.

This feeling comes from a misplaced sense of honor and reverence for the Bible. I believe the sense of honor and reverence should be placed on the application of the biblical truths and therefore it is entirely appropriate to take notes in your Bible.
